Kuwait has one of the highest solar irradiation levels in the world, estimated at around 2200 kW/m2 per year. However, it only has 106 MW of renewables including 93 MW from solar. The industry outlook seemed to be changing for the better, with large scale PV projects in the pipeline but they have been postponed amidst the Covid-19 crisis.
